I was lied to by the Parman Law Group specifically Steve Marshalek the individual who is handling my file. He said that I would be able to get approved for a loan modification without any problems, because I am current on my loan and I have good credit. I entered into the contract with The Parman Law Group in Sept. 2009 and had to pay $3,850 up front, I also had to send in 3 months bank statements, pay stubs, HOA dues, Homeowners insurance info, hardship letter and other sensitive info. The last update I had gotten was in Nov. 2009 so I thought I'd give them time to work on my behalf I sent Steve an email on Dec. 22 to check the status of my loan modification. I never received a response from Steve, I called the first week of Jan again no return call, so I tried yet again today Jan. 13 left another mesage and he finally called me back. I asked for an update and he said that my loan modification had been rejected I told him that is not what I am paying them for. I asked him to send me the documentation of the rejection from Bank of America and he said he cannot do that. I also asked him to send me the documents that he sent to Bank of America on my behalf he said he did not have it, and transferred me to "Client Services" a.K.A. The general line I was on hold for twenty minutes and I had no choice but to leave a message. I took the liberty of calling my lenders B of A informed me that I had been rejected on Nov. 7 and all the lawgroup sent was pay stubs and a "Letter of Authorization" nothing more. GMAC said that they were never contacted at all.
