Since March I been dealing with a rate modification. I have been calling for status almost every three weeks. They have requested the same documents over and over again because they are due... Now I have been told that the same was denied for lack of documentation. I made an appeal and the same was denied. They put me on a regular Bank of American loan modification but has been told that I do not qualify for any modification on my loan because I do not file tax return. They did not requested from me a tax return copy when I apply and was approved for the mortgage loan back in 2000 and later on my rate modification on 2008. I have never paid late since 2000 and they put me on a trial period since July paying my mortgage and the escrow amount, which I did not paid it with my mortage because I did it at the end of the year. Is that so, that you have to have a tax return filed in order to be approved a loan modification?
