All I can say nice about Mark Kollar is that he was very charming and articulate at first. And you will notice other people say very similar things about this guy as well. He loves to play your counselor. He's even good at it because he's been there done that. I don't want to get myself in trouble here for slander or defamation of character so I'll just kind of play it safe and say that Mark Kollar is one of those guys that can relate to you pretty well because he has more or less "done it all" so to speak.
As an attorney, this guy missed the first two years and the last two years of college plus about 90% of of the understudy time required. I want to use a few quotes I found on Avvo upon later reviewing this guy. I'm really not sure if these reviews were found before or after my dealings with Mr. Kollar.
Quote #1: I agree with Christine as it sounds like we had the exact same experience with this lawyer. He was very flirtatious, at first. When he got nowhere with that he became very rude, making inappropriate comments quite often. He was frequently unprepared and late for court majority of the time. I tried to fire him, but he claimed I could not. Just one of many statements he made that turned out to be untrue. To reiterate what Christine said, make sure you get everything in writing as his prices are subject to change for no reason and without warning. Also demand a retainer agreement before paying him anything! I say all this with experience.
Quote #2: Unlike the previous person he is definitely in it for the money when he needs to be. I fired mark recently and he has yet to remove himself from my docket. This man is someone I will probably file a grievance against. He misinformed me and was incorrect on dates and times, wanted me to act not in the best interest of my child and further more was only nice in the beginning when he thought he had a chance of dating me. Yes I swear to that statement and I feel as though. He is not necessarily informed and missed a couple of opputunitys with me custody case that he turned down. If you are desperate and not a younger female and you use this man get everything he says in writing especially his billing as subject to change. Request statements and notification to what he bills as hours. Reresearch his "ideas" as well.

I put a lot of faith in this man. It wasn't about the money. I would have paid him double what he wanted if he would have just done the job. But the guy was so busy telling me about his rehabilitation stories, a girlfriend and/or wife, then a daughter that I eventually found out wasn't even a daughter but rather a niece. It took a month for me to figure it out when he makes the comment, "well, she's actually my sister's daughter. I practically raised her like she was mine." Okay, that would make her your niece, dipshit. Then I read all over the internet about how he hits on his clients until he realizes that they aren't going to succumb to his advances so then he starts billing them. That wasn't an issue with me. I simply had issues with this guy being a complete idiot.
The first 15 minutes I sat down with Mr. Kollar I explained my custody arrangements at that time. Before I know it in court, he writes up an arrangement giving me LESS parenting time while patting himself on the back for what a great job he did. As I'm objecting, he's fast talking me with some BS and having me sign papers about how him and the other attorney are going to work out the details later.
To this day, I have never gotten an apology, nothing. I wouldn't even be writing this to this day if the guy were even man enough to say, "Hey, I'm sorry, I was inexperienced. I didn't know what I was doing. I was new out of law school. I didn't read your divorce decree. I'm an idiot." Anything.
