When reviewing my credit card "recent activity" online, I discovered a charge of $79.95 paid to CIC Credit Monitoring Services / Consumerinfo.com.
I NEVER solicited their services in any way, indeed had never heard of them. I did not request any kind of credit report or credit protection from anyone in the last year, either online or through the mail. I did not sign up for any shady credit card offers either. So, HOW THE HELL DID THESE CROOKS GET MY CREDIT CARD INFO???
Grrr...
I called my credit card company today and filed a dispute to the charge. That will holefully put an end to this episode, but something similar to this has happened to us twice before in the last couple of years, so moral of story,
Frequently and carefully review your credit card activity!!!
