Stay away from this company!!! Scott Feucht, the owner, will expect you to drive the country side, deliver loads, and not pay you. I'll explain.
Scott, which was suppose to be a good friend of mine, baught an older truck to move trailer around his shop, decided that he wanted to put this truck on the road and had asked me be the driver. I accepted his offer in good faith that he would train me and keep me close to home. OTR is just not my thing. So for the first month or so i spent at least 8 to 9 hours a day helping him clean this truck up. Polishing, waxing, vaccuming, cleaning carpet. All the BS that goes into getting a piece of junk back on the road and in good condition. All the while being told by Scott that he would get me some money for my time. That never happened.
Once the truck was on the road his idea of training was putting me in the truck and sending me out alone (he only road with me two or three times in 3 weeks). And sending me out of state when his insurance company told him I had to stay in State for the first 60 days. It didnt bother me that much to be put out there alone, it was just that he said he'd be there and he wasn't. But what did bother me was that he would have the brokers for the loads calling me and bothering me constantly. Here Scott would be telling them that i was broke down and I would be there on time, or telling them I was somewhere where I wasnt. He would lie to them and in turn tell me to lie to them so he could get the higher paying loads. All the while promising me i would get paid 26% of the load.
Finally after two weeks of this crap I asked him to get my paperwork in order so i can get paid. He got everything put on a spread sheet and then told me he was only going to pay me 15% of the load. Talk about getting mad. He came up with the final number and told me he would get to the bank and get me paid. A week later he still hasnt got to the bank. I then told him im not driving until i get paid. Scott then stopped calling. I would call the shop and his cell phone every hour of everyday and raise hell. His office personel wouldnt answer, Scott wouldnt answer.
After a week of that Scott finally picked up the phone and told me the reason why he isnt going to pay me is because i wouldnt answer his calls. That is true to a point. I would not answer the phone when i was in traffic, or busy backing into the docks, or inside watching the unload me. Besides not paying me because of a phone call is one of the dumbest excuses ive ever heard. At this point im ferious, I go down to the shop and tell his personel lady to just cut me a check. Scott told her not to write me any checks, hand me any money, and threatened to call the police if I came back down there again.
Scott Feucht is a low down good for nothing person to work for. He is, in my eyes, a pathological liar that needs to learn how to run a business and treat his employess with respect AND PAY his employees. Beware of this crook he got me dont let him get you!!!
Any suggestions on how to deal with this would be appreciated.
