Work was done to install a drain system in the basement. Work was guaranteed in writing that as long as I or the next subsequest homeowner owned the house, their installed system would control all penetrating water to the entire subsoil wall and floor area where a pressure relief system had been installed. There was also a lifetime guarantee on the pump to include labor which is also all in writing. Their website also states they have a lifetime money back guarantee as well.
Yesterday my entire finished basement sustained 6 inches of water and destroyed everything we had just remodeled. I called the company to see if they would in any way honor their "written" warantees and guarantees. They would not ever. I was told that if I wanted to seek additional action beyond my phone call to any legal or government entities, that their lawyer was on "speed dial and to feel free to do so".
It is now 2 weeks before Christmas and most of the presents are destroyed...
