Impressive-sounding company all too eager to bring you in for an interview

Hello,

I just wanted to add to the reports of this scam company. I recently posted my resume on Yahoo Hot Jobs and applied to this company, "J Reider Group." I got an email the next day telling me that I would make a good fit with their company, and I should call them to discuss a possible interview. They did not mention to me the actual job description, so I just thought it was something entry level.

The initial email I got was also from "Paige Turner." I thought, what a weird name but oh well. (I'm really desperate for a good job right now...) Anyway when I called, a woman (named Denise, I think) answered, and I've seen on here that there is also a Denise associated with this company. Whoever she was, her name was NOT Paige Turner, but she said she could help me. She asked me questions like when could I start, what my salary requirements were. Nothing about what skills I have, what I want to do, or what the company does, like a normal phone interview.

She set me up with the interview for the next day, and told me to bring in two references, a personal one and a professional one. She said she would send me an email with directions to the office. That email was full of "how excited we are to meet you" and how "we really enjoyed talking with you" even though the phone conversation was pretty short. It looked very cut and pasted. It was also signed "Paige Turner, " even though I talked to Denise or whoever on the phone.

So I went online to see what I could find out about this group - I wanted to be prepared! Well I found all of these reports, the last one dated in October of this year. I decided it probably still is a scam so I sent an email to good ole' Paige and said I would pass on the interview. I thought about going anyway and just seeing what their line of BS would be but I don't have that kind of time.

Their website is VERY vague, and those "press releases" do look fake and written by them. Don't waste your time with these people. The report about how the boss asked the secretaries to forge signatures, in front of interviewees? That is appalling. I don't know how they are in business but they are, so watch out.
