Alonti International/BOSS Advertising
Alonti Intn'l or BOSS Advertising really reeled me in!

I recently lost my job and have been searching for a career in the retail and fashion field. I recently placed my resume' on Careerbuilder and quite quickly received an email from Alonti International, specifically an Aiden Taylor, stating that this "growing " company was looking to add entry level marketing associates and management executives to their Auburn Hills location and that I was a perfect match. I never thought of a career in the marketing field, but maybe it was time for a change. Retail wasn't exactly booming.

A girl named Lindsay called me shortly after this email to set up an interview. How exciting! I arrived for my interview and was a liitle confused on why there were approximately six other candidates there. I filled out a one-page application and then was called in to an gentlemens office whom I believe was named Tim, along with another candidate. Tim asked me some pretty routine interview questions and then continued to talk about the company, stating they were a growing advertising company that did advertising for coney islands, spas, non-profit organizations, and sports teams such as the Detroit Pistons. I thought how exciting!

He explained to me that he needed to review my resume' with his management team and he didn't see any reason why I wouldn't hear from them. He shook my hand and off I went. I was so excited I could barely stand it. I did remember him telling me that I need to dress warm and wear comfortable shoes for my second interview.

Approximately three hours later Shawn from Alonti (receptionist) called and wanted to set up a second interview that went from 10:15am to 7:15pm. Great! After all of this, I realized that the only thing that Lindsay and Shawn did were call these candidates that had submitted their resume's to Careerbuilder and set up interviews. This is not a typical receptionist job. The gentlemen that was interviewing was really vague about what we were applying for. My stupid fault for not really thinking straight and being too excited.

I tried to research this company but they do not have their own independent website, just what shows up Careerbuilder. I decided to do more research and found these reports on usacomplaints.com. I am so glad I read these reports before I went for the second interview and was stuck selling coupon books for free. Thank you to usacomplaints.com and to all of those who submitted reports. This company should be made accountable for their completely fraudulent business practices and not be in business.
