CUSTOMER SERVICE REP ID AQ629 Charge me $120 per year for HD access - yet refuse to offer my primary news MSNBC - a national channel in HD

I am paying $120 per year to DIRECTV for access to HD channels. My primary news channel is MSNBC - a national channel broadcast in HD all over the US. For some reason DIRECTV will not provide the channel in HD to me in the Los Angeles area. I sit and watch two hours of MSNBC (Chris Mathews and Rachel Maddow) in a gigantic blur on my tv every night. What am I paying for? I tried to negotiate a reasonable solution to the problem, by offering to pay $5 per month, until such time as DIRECTV will provide me with MSNBC in HD (Which I am paying for). A customer representative with ID AQ629 refused point blank to my offer.

Im not sitting through two hours of tv every night in a blur and paying $120 a year for that priveledge. As fa as Im concerned asking people to pay extra money for services not provided and them offering no solution in theft. Please help.
