I tried Direct TV as an alternative to cable due to my dissatisfaction with Time Warner Cable... And guess what... 2 hours and 15 minutes into Direct TV, I called and switched back to cable! Where are the channels that I was promised in the promotional deal? There were literally no channels to watch... There is an extra charge to watch PBS... PUBLIC TV is FREE!!! I was promised NEWS channels and there were none! Nancy Grace isn't news! HLN was the only "news" channel in my package $29.99 "Family Package." I was told over the phone upon ordering that I'd get CNN... Not so. You have to pay extra for CNN, Fox News, CNBC and all the rest... The customer service was non-existing. One review I read called it best... Robots... With no emotion or ability to assist in any way. Direct TV for 2 1/4 hours cost me 10 hours of installation, holes and cables all over my home and the cost of reinstallation of cable as well as the removal of the ugly dish from my roof! My husband is laughing at me for trying Direct TV! I am such a fool...
