This company is ridiculous! I was looking for rental property on craiglist, and happen to find a place I liked, that was apparently represented by Sampson Reality. I contacted Sampson and thought it was odd that the person that answered the phone, also happened to represent that particular listing. But thought, whatever, maybe they don't have a secretary...
When I had gone to look at the property and meet the landlord, this "agent" met me there. She was posing as representing me to this landlord, and vice versa representing the landlord to me!
I negotiated everything, every detail, my self! This "agent" said absolutely nothing!!!
I found out afterward what this place does... They find rental property available, and advertise it on Craigslist, as if its their contracted listing, and they wait for customers to come to them. These "Realtors" do nothing when it comes to foot work or negotiation, then walk away with the commission from the landlords!
As far as the "Realtor" I dealt with, she was so unimpressive it was sad. Poorly dressed, unprofessional, and a complete mute! Once I was aware of what happened, and the fact that she acted like she represented me, I contacted the landlord and made him aware of this as well, and finished the negotiations and lease on my own.
In a business that is all about trust, customer service and working for your client, I couldn't even imagine what goes on behind the doors at Sampson, if this is what I saw so easily myself.
Do yourselves a favor, save you and your landlord money, and avoid Sampson Reality all together! They are knuckleheads that post on craigslist, and sit on their asses, waiting for you to do the work and call!!
