Negligent Driver, Poor Customer Service

Horrible. The absolute WORST customer service I've ever received and UPS should be embarassed. Driver (Dave Baker) a) does not leave my package on both occasions that I sign the infonotice, but on the third attempt when I am home, he doesn't even ring me, just leaves another InfoNotice. I go to the UPS facility in Franklin Park and the lady (Mary, nicest person I had any correspondance with) tells me this driver has had several complaints and to call a number to complain. I do, and I get Vera who proceeds to tell me I can try tracking down the driver to get my package. Yes, I can hunt down the guy who didn't do his job and waste 90 mins of my life to get a package I paid to have shipped to my home. Upon hearing he didn't ring up to my unit, she says "I'll ask him if he did"... Um? Hello? Customer is always right? She's basically accusing me of lying. She defended this driver through and through and even said she has never had any complaints with him. When I informed her that another worker gave me his name and explicitly told me he had received several complaints, she simply rushed me off the phone—but not before adding that 'calling the 1-800 number wouldn't do any good because any complaints would come right back to her.' I will ask anyone who ships me anything to avoid UPS for the rest of my life.
