I have recently purchased internet generated construction service leads from several companies. The two entities named in this report are probably the same company just a different cubicle. I attempted to communicate with the leads by Ph. And e-mail. Description of 5 lead responses. 1. Answering machine no response @ all. 2. Project had been completed. 3. Did not know company. 4. Work completed claimed got a better deal. 5. Person answered introduced myself immediately person made excuse to return call never heard from lead. Strawed again on the internet.
Within 2 hours reported to credit card not to pay this company had to cancel card. Two weeks later reopened card only to find they had pushed payment through @ $249. Per month for 6 months. I am now in dispute with card company and their proverbial can of worms. Should have known telemarketer was in India or or some God forsaken country halfway around the world..
These companies are parasites that prey on hard working people in these depressive economic times. My Grandparents who lived through the Great Depression would always say If it sounds to good to be true than it's to good to be true. So to all you hard working people out there in cyberland, Remember It's just a voice on the phone.
These companies sell outdated leads and or fictitious leads back & forth to each other. These predatory sales people have no ethics or conscience. They claim to sell 1 lead per 3 contractors. I asked if they could prove this, their customer service could not. The customer service rep. Went on to explain that for some odd reasons I would only see a 1 out of 10 success rate. Ten is the number of leads you can buy for $249. Per month. Wow 10% results what a fabulous service I though, (not). Sorry, I have teenagers. My thoughts them turned to Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny only Elmer Fudd was saying " Be vwery, vewry afraid of that wabbit."
This is pure speculation but the number of contractors per lead is more like 30. On one occasion you could hear the fear in the persons voice as though it was harassment. I concluded that this person had been swamped by contractors, including myself who purchased this lead. Never heard from person again.
Also AT&T yellow pages.com Advertising Solutions the worst web site service I have ever encountered. YPClicks a fraud. 1year 4PH calls @ 348$ per month. How's that for advertising solutions. Fleeced again on the internet.
