I leased a cc machine from Integrated Leasing way back in 2001. After 911 my small grooming business went under. My husband and I spoke to someone at Integrated in late 2001 early and we were told we couldn't get out of the lease but that we could pay off the lease and at the same time pay off the equipment. They automatally debited my account monthly for between $45 and $75 everymonth like clockwork.
Well in 2006 my husband and I realized that they were still taking money out every month, even at the minimum $45 per month for 5 years equals $2700!!! Considering how old the equipment is that is way to much! So we looked at our bank statement for the phone number, well there was no phone # where there is supposed to be one, so I went online found the phone # and called, but alas... I couldn't get a human on the phone.
I put a stop payment on the amount of money they were taking out and next thing I know they changed the amount to some crazy amount like $300, I think it was more but I don't remember now, and got past it! After talking to a supervisor at my bank we got a stop payment based on company name.
A few weeks after I did the second stop payment I get a bill from some company called Lease Finance Group llc. I had never heard of this company so I checked online and found out that apparently Integrated sold all of their leases to this other company. I contacted Lease Finance Group and tried to talk to the guy on the phone and tell him that everything had been settled over the phone back in 2002. Well he didn't want to hear it. He beratted me and said that I would have to keep paying or I could send them $400 and the machine or $600 and keep the machine. I told him it wasn't worth that much and I wouldn't pay it and he told me, and I quote, "this is America, and we can charge whatever we want". This was around the end of 2006. Since then we have had to renew the stop payment every 6 months.
Cut to a few days ago... I forgot to renew the stop payment this month and sure enough they took over $800 out of my account and it overdrew my account. My bank if helping me file a fraud claim but now I am going to have to close my account becaue I have way to much going on to remember to do the stop payments.
I called the number for Integrated Leasing today and got Lease Finance Group again. I once again tried to explain the situation but the guy didn't want to hear it. Again he was insulting and rude. I said they are not getting anymore money out of me and he said they would put it on my credit report and ruin my credit. I told him I would like to see him try then i hung up. I couldn't take listening anymore! The stress these people are causing me is making me ill. Please someone help all of us who have been screwed by these companies. The words class action come to mind!!
