So I got a call one day for what sounded like a good deal. I could receive 5 magazine subscriptions for 5 years and I would have to pay $24.99 for the first 35 months and then I would get the next 25 free. So I did it because I'm young and stupid and can't say no sometimes.
The lady i signed up with said I could cancel at any time and I would be receiving a list of popular magazines and I could change subscriptions at any point without a charge. The list I received had some magazines I have never heard of and I didn't see any that I would like, so I decided to call and cancel my subscription. The lady was unfriendly and said that I couldn't cancel because I had made a "commitment, " even though I was told I could at the beginning.
They also said that I would receive a free diamond watch if I sent the form back in. We'll see if that happens, which I doubt. If they were a credible company, wouldn't you think that they would have a website and be worried about customer satisfaction? I somebody can please help me, I would really appreciate it! I have heard many horror stories that people don't even receive their magazines or get ones they didn't sign up for. I don't want to pay money to possibly receive something that I don't even want.
Please help!!!
