I ordered the LV Neverfull GM bag from this website, who claim to sell preowned and authentic Louis Vuitton bags, run by someone who refers to herself as Ellie Smyth. The cost of the bag was 325 and the website promised the bag would be dispatched as soon as possible after payment and that package tracking details would be sent along with the order confirmation. Thankfully I had the good sense to pay for the item with Paypal, but all I received was the automated payment receipt from Paypal. I never received an order confirmation from the seller. I emailed her to follow up and she replied after a few days claiming that she had been unavailable because of a bereavement in her family, to which I sympathised.
She then promised to dispatch the bag to me by the weekend and that I should have it in another 4 - 5 days. It had struck me as odd that this website didnt have a physical address, neither did they have a contact telephone number that people could call in case of any enquiries. I raised these concerns and asked Ms Smyth to provide me with a number I could reach her on, but she ignored all requests as well as further emails from me in which I advised that I was yet to receive the bag. I also asked her for the package tracking details which her website had promised to provide, but in spite of several emails, she failed to respond with tracking details or acknowledge my complaint that my bag hadnt been received. I opened a goods not received dispute with Paypal, and they also tried to contact her, all to no avail.in the end, Paypal had to refund my 325, and I expect they will take whatever steps necessary to recover their funds from Ellie Smyth and from her 'company'. All potential buyers and bargain hunters please beware.
