Liar, Liar, your stores policies should catch fire!

Horrible customer service!

On Sept. 5 I contacted Dresses.com and spoke with Tor Sweeney. I placed an order for a dress, explaining to her this is my ceremony dress. The ceremony was scheduled for that Wednesday. I paid for overnight shipping. Keep in mind this is a holiday weekend. Saturday I received the dress, it was wrinkled and as I was putting the dress on the zipper completely broke.

I immediately contacted customer service at [email protected]. I e-mailed twice. The first was being held for some reason, so I e-mailed again. I explained in my e-mail that the zipper broke and I needed assistance, since the policy states you must contact customer service within 48 hours. To this date I never received a response back from these people. She also stated I e-mailed the wrong e-mail? Yeah Whatever!

However I called and spoke to Tor Sweeney that Tuesday, I explained to her that I had no choice but to take the dress to my tailor to have it fixed, because the ceremony was to take place Wednesday, and they never responded to my concerns. Her response was ludicrous, I was told you had all weekend to return the dress and ask for a refund? Who the Heck does delivery on the weekend and a holiday weekend WOW! Are you kidding me!

First of all I phoned that Saturday, no-one answered, that Sunday no-one answered, that Monday was the holiday. Tuesday I got no email response, She then lied and stated I never e-mailed them?

Then she stated they have 19 e-mail boxes, and she never got an e-mail. I was horrified and pissed off. She then said you altered the dress, when you should have returned the dress.

How could I have possibly done anything, When they never responded. She then told me they we would have sent you out another dress and you could have sent that one later! Bull hockey pucks. This is way after the fact. She never offered a solution to the dilemma! Only after the fact.

Ladies can you imagine "Having no dress for your ceremony. I was a nervous wreck!

I simply wanted my $95.00 back, and they refused, stating it falls out of the scope of their business.instead of focusing on excellent customer service.

I had less than 24 hours to try and replace my ceremony dress, or try and fix the poor workmanship on the one I had. I was backed into a corner under pressure to make sure I even had a dress to wear the next morning. I was charged an additional $95.00, to fix the garment, not to mention the gas, the headache and having to beg the tailor to put aside all of their other clients for me. To fix the problem. Of course my tailor took one look at the garment and said the zipper was cheap and it was not sewed in right as to why it would not zip right in the first place!

Keep in mind they clearly state the garment must be approved first before they will accept the garment back! So you have to wait for them to respond and approve! Costing the consumer more time. What a farce.

I filed a complaint with the BBB in their area. I would not order from this company they do not uphold their own policy's. As a matter of fact they have other complaints that are similar on file with the BBB.

Ladies Beware!!!

This company falls in the category of Unfair Business practices. Beware you will not get customer service from these people only the run around.
