Peacock Moving Failure to provide refund, poor customer service, poor delivery

I was provided their services through a third-party, World MOving Services (another "not so stellar" company). Peacock did our move from Michigan to Texas. They were en route for almost 2 weeks, delivered our items 1 week late, damaged our household items, etc. You name it, it happened.

They (Vivian) promised that we would be reimbursed for the damages and time delay. We submitted photos and anything they requested. We received a letter on 6/9 stating they would refund us $255, that's all! WE were so sick of dealing with them, we signed the reimbursement agreement.

Over the past month, we've called at least 3 times a week to find out where our refund was. Once 90 days passed, we increased our calls each week. Vivian would tell us that it would be mailed out later in the week, Ruby would tell us it was already mailed, then it was on Linda (The owner's) desk, then in accounting, etc. Finally, we reached Linda, the owner, only to find out she didn't have the money to pay us! She told us we would just have to wait and that they could not pay any customer refunds.

They had 90 days to pay us for a service that was completely aweful. If I never see a dime from them, I only hope to steer any other consumers away from them. Don't be fooled by their website. Yes, they are family owned, but they can't even provide decent customer service.
