On August 18th, I receive a letter from this company regarding their phone card with a 10 day trial period. I tried calling them several times with no luck because their phone is busy. On August 27th, I finally get ahold of them, getting up a 6 am because I'm on the West Coast and they are on the East Coast, and canel. On August 29th, they take $54.99 out of my account.
How did they get my checking account number?! I never signed up with them in the first place! I called them on August 30th and asked them why they charged me and how they received my PERSONAL INFORMATION.
They said that they received my personal information from the credit card company that I signed up with (American Benefits Club-known as Card Services and BFTCLB).
They said that they charged me because I canceled after the 10 day trial period. That's Wrong! The letter was dated August 16th (Thursday) and I received on August 18th (Sunday).
The 10 day trial period starts when people receive the letter and I canceled on the 27th! I emailed them on September 14th and threat them with a law suit if I didn't get my money back and they replied that they would refund my money, even though I was wrong. I will have to wait to see if they refund my money.
