I found a Miniature Schnauzer on PuppyFind.com under Goodman Kennels in Waskom, TX. I sent an inquiry about the puppy and got a response back within 20 minutes from Shawn Inman. She seemed nice and willing to meet me in Shreveport with the puppy the same day.
I met her and fell in love with the puppy and paid $450 cash for her. This was on Saturday, July 25th. I was told that when the Goodman's owned the kennel, they had a health guarantee which stated that if you have any issues with your puppy and you have the dog checked out within 3 days of purchase, they would replace it with a healthy puppy of equal value. But, Shawn said this is not was she does. "If you have any health issues with your puppy I have a money back guarantee, although I know you won't have any. She's 13 weeks old and has had no issues and had a clean bill of health."
Monday night, my puppy started throwing up and had a bad case of the runs. I took her to the vet Tuesday morning and had her checked out and was told that she had Parvo. The vet also told me that there is no way that she got Parvo at my house because it incubates for 10 days before it tests positive. I called Shawn and informed her that my puppy was sick and amazingly, she insisted that she never told me of a money back guarantee. I went to give her my puppy back, but after seeing the REAL Shawn and how she really acted, I couldn't because I know that she would just let her die.
She lies and says whatever you want to hear to make the sale. She wouldn't tell me where she lives and would only meet me in town at the Burger King in Waskom. She doesn't want anyone to see the kennel! Puppyfind caters to puppy mills. All the reviews are completely false and made up by the seller. I posted a bad review to try to warn people and even sent all of my documents to prove my statement to be true and she was able to delete the bad review. That tells me not to believe ANY of the reviews posted on www.puppyfind.com. I was able to save my puppies life, but my $450 purchase is now over $1000 with the vet bills.
I know that her sister sales puppies for her too. She is on www.puppyfind.com too. She also sells Miniature Schnauzers and her name is Michelle out of Shreveport, LA. Tammy and Dale Goodman in Waskom, TX used to own the kennels so I don't know if they still sell puppies for her or not. Please be very careful when you purchase an animal over the internet and don't be fooled by reviews because they are not always true. I am not saying that every breeder is bad, but Shawn Inman with Goodman Kennels is a terrible person and needs to be shut down for animal cruelty!
