ATT - Long Distance
ATT Long Distance The Business From Hell That Victimizes Many Consumers Telephone Harassment! Corporate Office All Locations Corporate Offices

For the past three years that I have had my phone numbers, I have received numerous calls from ATT stating:
"Do you have ATT as your long distance service?" and my reply is always the same:

"No, take this number and all 5 other number in my name, off your calling list. Then I recite each and every phone number I have in my home.
The 12 months of last year, I have started keeping a log of each time ATT called me asking the very same question. The grand total averages to roughly 6 times a month x 12 months = 72 call a year!

Well starting the new year right, Beginning This past January, ATT increased their calls to twice a week or 8 times a month and because I have stood firm on giving the same answer and demanding to be taken off their call list, they have now increased their calling of my NON-Published numbers to twice or three times a day! And no matter what I have done, who I have complained to, or what method I take in answering their calls, it has only gotten worse.
The reason for this complaint tonight, ~ Because ATT has gotten even more agressive by telling me and I quote their words

"We have the right to call your number a minimum of once a day without breaking federal rules and if I dont respond, just set the phone down, or hang up, we can call again and again until you respond"

Now, I do not have ATT services and don't owe them a dime for any services, so let me make this clear, the harassing calls are not in attempt to collect a debt' just simple straight forward harassment anywhere from 6AM to 9PM, now almost daily.

ATT has also attempted to switch my service regardless of the word "NO not interested" and forced me to put a pass code on my phone service to avoid any further un-authorized switching.

So, anyone have any ideas on how I can legally charge these jackasses for each and every call they make to me, after being told each and every time to take me off their list. I figure if I have to spend half my day dealing with them, they should pay for my time. Because I work at home on my computer, it is the most disruptive during the time I should be consentrating on my work - or even the old famous, 'Wait until we are having dinner' and call us. I have put recordings on my phones to try and avoid ATT but they just hang up and try again later. They have even called during our sleeping hours and with my husband just having heart related procedures, that makes it even worse. My mother in-law many times needs to call us because she is sick, so we are limited on turning our phones off and I have tried my best to explain, We do not want their service now or neons in the future! And - we've tried changing the phone number as well but it just starts over within a week... Any help out there?

Frustrated
Catherine
