I ordered a bikini in June. Paid through PayPal. Twice I contacted her and twice she said the item was being shipped 2-day air. She even gave me a bogus FedEx tracking number. Still no item, and she stopped returning my email inquiries. I finally filed a complaint through PayPal in late August, they contacted her, and I got the item 2 and a half months after I ordered it — just 2 days ago. Summer's over, my kids are back in school, so it's pretty useless now. PayPal's position is: you got it, you pay for it. I am not happy with this, since a bathing suit is a seasonal item.
There are a lot more complaints about this seller at Just like another poster on that site, I also got a long email from Shanelle (after PayPal contacted her) detailing all her personal problems as an excuse for not sending the merchandise. I responded and told her to keep the bikini — summer's over. She sent it anyway, so she could provide proof of delivery to PayPal.
BTW, I see another poster on the complaints board site also filed a claim through PayPal, before I did, so PayPal should know this seller doesn't act in good faith and should stop doing business with her. Next time I buy online, I'll check sites like this first and pay with my credit card, which has much better buyer protection service. I feel really foolish for not checking her out online before I ordered.
