Nittany Air, a sub division of T.A.C.in Camp Hill, and also distributor of Rexair of Troy Mi, has to be one of the shadiest businesses to ever darken the streets of Philipsburg Pa (16866). Opened in July the office is located at 505 Alder St. This company is hiring you to do demonstrations of the Rainbow Home Cleaning System and trying to sucker people into buying them, at a extremely inflated price. Let's just say, they're making a killing off of your hard work.
First off, the add says no cold calling or door to door selling. That is a bold faced lie. They call door to door selling "registering". This basically entails walking door to door and asking the homeowner if they want to register for 300 dollars worth of groceries. You get their information and then later in the week you "cold call" these people and try to get them to see a demo of the product (most people say no). And how much do you get paid to do all of this work? Nothing. They also never do that drawing for the groceries, so you will be lying to the customers.
Secondly, they claim you will be paid 15.00 an hour. What they don't tell you is that you only receive the hourly pay if you are running a demonstration at a customers house. They only pay you for two hours even if it takes you four to six hours to run that demo. Most demos typically run four hours. Also, the comission you make on every "sale" may sound great but what they don't tell you is that you don't always receive your full comission. It is based on payment method and the customer's credit worthiness. Which means you could spend four hours of your time plus the gas to get there all for absolutely nothing. Trust me, it happens frequently. And if the customer decides they don't want the machine within three days you will not receive your comission.
Also, don't let them sucker you into the "equity three" program. This program requires you to purchase your own Rainbow which you will be reimbursed for after making three qualified sales.By the way, "qualified" means the customer has to have perfect credit or pay for the machine with cash or check. This is VERY rare.
If you still think working for Nittany Air is a good idea be prepared to be publicly humiliated and cursed at by the boss if you do anything wrong and if you end up on his bad side he will find ways to nickel and dime you out of your paycheck. There is also an agressive pit bull on the premesis at all times, whose messes are found all over the office. Nothing like the smell of old dog urine to greet when you come to work. If he doesn't try to snap at you he will definately drool all over you.
Please, do not get suckered into working for this company. They will screw you over after they have made all the money they can off of you and your family. Trust me, I had to learn this the hard way.
