Worse Moving Company Not Trust Worthy Liers and Mafia Brothers

Phone call evening before the move to completely change plans - We had paid the deposit for full pack one day, paid for overnight stay of the drivers, and drive 300 miles and deliver the next day. They changed it to a same day move, the evening before the moving day.

Arrive 3 hours late on a same day move (for an in State 300 miles move) because they decided to deliver a piano that morning to make some extra bucks. Additional red flag, they came on a Penske rental truck, they don't even own the trucks.

Full pack is a joke, they don't know how to do the job, they literally throw everything in boxes, even what's inside drawers, to use more cubic feet and increase the estimate.

Furniture tied with tape, NOT careful at all.

Finish full pack 4 hours later than agreed on, even stopped for lunch, while I myself did not.

Estimated a new estimate by looking at the truck, increased the price 40% and asked for a GOOD tip of at least 80$ each (4 men) before driving and delivering. We said no, we'll pay when you get everything there.

Drove to destination, got lost despite having GPS, and arrived 5 hours later than agreed on (11pm). Of course we sent them to a hotel, I won't unpack at their schedule because I paid for a service, I actually don't work as a mover, right? Said they had jobs scheduled fro the next day, I said sorry and go to the motel or I call the police. BTW, 3 Israeli immigrants, one American from the south.

Next day. They show up late again. Start unloading and ask for the money before finishing the service. They dropped a bookshelf, broke a dining table, scratched all 3 chests of drawers, and chairs.

They stopped working until they get paid, which took about 1 hour in phone calls. Manager disrespectful at all times. New price in place, 40% higher than original. Drivers expect $400 tip, without the manager knowing.

Unloaded some boxes in lower levels in order to avoid stairs, despite being included in the estimate.

They know where I live, and they look and act so mafia like, that we decided to pay the tip and live another day, if you know what I mean. Why do I have to tip them so high to do their job (which was not good), if I am already paying for a service? I don't get the whole tip concept.

Never, ever again hire Twins Van Lines for a move.
