I have NEVER had an account with NetZero. The final notice letter (no other notices were ever sent by NetZero to begin with) asks me to send a check or money order for the full account balance that is past due in the enclosed postage paid envelope or if I wished to have it charged to a credit card to send my credit card information.
I can smell fraud a mile away and usacomplaints.com confirmed my suspicions.
Dozens of reports from other consumers claiming fraudulent charges.
Their (UOL) toll-free number (866-210-1700) is a recorded message telling you to send the money or to write them to dispute the amount. They do not provide a website address or street address. Just a P.O. Box to send payments or complaint letters which they do not respond to.
I chose to use their Postage Paid envelope to mail them a block of concrete.
I wrapped it up, marking it "RE: equipment return" and taped their envelope to the package. That should send them a clear message!
