We are a technology company in Texas.in looking for areas to expand our business we looked to Buyerzone. We signed up with the thought that when someone goes to the buyerzone website that lead then goes to 5 individuals. It did not take long to figure out we had made a mistake. The leads cost us $31 a lead. What we have found is that when we contact the companies they say "my inbox is already full of people that have contacted me". The people are actually angry because they have been attacked by poeple wanting to sell them things. Buyerzone assured me that only 6 leads go out but that is nothing more than empty words to me. We have gotten numberous leads that are actually other companies fishing for quotes from us to see what the compition is doing. At that point we have to call buyerzone and get them to credit us. We have also gotten a lot of leads where people are asking for products at a price that I can not even buy it from the manufacturer... At that point I have paid $31 for something that is just not possible.
I was told that the way the leads are qualified is through a valid phone number. That is definately not enough screening for me. I asked to cancel and was told there is a ninety day contract. I asked that they charge my credit card now, do not send me another lead, but cancel me. I was told I would have to wait for the 90 days to end then I would have to call back and cancel at that time. I hate companies that do this in hopes that you forget and then they get to keep on billing you. I wish i could go back. So my advice is... Think before you ask for quotes because you might be inviting 50 hungry companies to fill up your inbox and call and bug you forever.
As for the company side... The leads often are people asking for a price that you are probably not able to buy it for from the manufacturer and you are competing against 50 other companies... And you are locked in!!!
