I am very surprised that an Italian run cruise ship provided mostly mediocar food and wine, most of which I couldn't eat becasue it was so bland or fishy/salty. They published their food supply list at the end of the cruise and it was apparent that they do not pick up fresh food at port but instead use many thousands of pounds of frozen seafood and vegetables. The mostly Indonesian and Balinese crew were nice but MSC didn't bother to train them. Also due to complete ineptness, it took over 2 hours to leave the ship at our first US port becasue MSC only provided 2 employees to double check that the 1000 of us leaving the ship had US passports. Once we got to US customs it took 2 seconds. Of course the Italian second officer blamed the US customs. At the end of our cruise we were vacated from our cabins at 7am but were not allowed to leave the ship until 12 noon. It was horrible. It was also a very crowded ship—way overbooked. I will never cruise MSC again and probably never cruise again period.
