Credit Education Group - CEG
AKA Global Financial ripoff— scam artists! Almost got me, thank you complaint! Ripoff abused & mistreated ripoff business from hell Henderson Nevada

On March 21 we were entertaining company, we had just had a baby 8 days earlier, when we recieved a phone call. My husband took it in the other room. He came back out got the check book and proceeded to go back in the other room. Later I found out he had been talking to "Global Financial."

The reps name was Robin Nevdorf. She said that they would send us a secured credit card for the low one time fee of $221.95. When you have 2 kids, bad credit and are going through rough times, anything you can do to better yourself you will do, and this company knows that!

They said we would recieve all kinds of benefits: grocery coupons, gas coupons, credit building information and that the reason this company is so reputable is because they report your information to the credit bureaus every month. It sounded great, but when it came time to have the money deducted from our account we did not have the money because my husband had been laid off. We set the date back to May 5th, until we could get the money together. May 5th came and went, no money deducted, thank goodnes! We tried calling for several days, no answer on the 1-800-664-1315 number. Or it was busy.

Then on the 12th the number was disconnected. We also repeatedly tried the 1-866-411-4466, either no answer or disconnected as well. GREAT! Now what... On the 14th a man named Shawn called from Credit Education Group. He said that he had recieved my name from recent applications from visa/mastercard.

He said I could get a $2,500 secured card of my choice and that it would cost just under $300. And that as soon as the card came I could replace my money to my account. The card had no fees other than the one time fee. Low interest rate of something like 11%. (Sound familiar?) Did I want to take advantage of this great offer? I said that I am very leary because of what we had been going through with Global Financial, he advised me to go to the bank, stop payment on my check. I did. He also said to go to usacomplaints.com and check out what it has to say about Global.

I don't think he realizes that he works for a scam company, or else he wouldn't tell me to do this. He said he would call me back on Friday May 16th. I looked at Global's reports, but also CEG, and found much useful information. He did, I told him what I had found and he was shocked. I told him I was not interested, and he tried to convince me that I was not going to get scammed by him. But how do I know that?

I told him he may be a wolf in sheeps clothing, he can talk a sweet and nice game, but I don't know him from Adam... So, needless to say he cut the conversation short. My assumption is that Global and CEG are one in the same, trying to prolong this scam after being caught once. Therefore, a big thank you to the complaint and Shawn (although he didn't know he was ratting himself out) for helping me not get scammed again!
