I am a disabled veteran who was injured in IRAQ and I am now BLIND so i was looking for a technician to diagnose my spa. This man assured me he was very experianced and was factory certified by the spa company (Sundance Spas) to fix them. He came to my house and pulled off the cover to my circuit board looked at a few things and told me my motherboard was bad and would need to be replaced, now it just so happens this is the most expensive component on my spa and the least likely to go out. I asked numerous times if he was sure and he responded with "dude i have been doing this everyday for 10 years your board is bad!"So i buy anew board for $749.98 I put it in and it does the same thing. I then called Sundance Spas and asked about this guy and to my surprise they had never heard of him nor was he factory certified!!! Sundance gave me a number of someone who was actually certified through them and he comes out and tells me its a $25.00 sensor and put my old motherboard back in and it to this date works perfect.
Then I call protech and ask him to come out and check something for me, he shows up and tells me everything is working perfect hmmm. I told him it was the board that he told me was bad and I would like him to give me the money back for my board. He said he would not! But to make it up to me he would not charge me for my service call that day. I told him that would not work, he then grabbed his tools and began to leave so i followed him to his truck and told him i want this taken care of and he told me he would call me back in 2 days, I am STILL waiting on that call!!! Thanks PROTECH for screwing over this blind guy and hopefully the next guy will SEE it coming.
