On February 28, I decided to get assistance with my career path and signed up with Bernard Haldane. I had been in jobs for the last 10 years and was ready for a career. The fee was $4700.00. I paid the initial retainer of $2,350.00 and set up payment plans for the remainder. I was so reluctant that I had him give me an addendum to the contract that would give me all my $ back if I was not happy with the plan.
In the meeting with the Sales Rep, who is also the Vice President, Derron Fischer, he painted a picture that their Company has access to the HIDDEN MARKET and he even showed me an offer letter from a reputable Company to one of his clients.
Since 2/28th, I have had 5 appointments with my counselor, Janet Andrews. The only thing that we did was restructure my resume and I did all the verbiage. I have the before and after of my resume and there is not much of a difference.
On March 17th, Bernard Haldane, San Diego, which was a franchise office was taken over by corporate. Janet had cancelled our appointment the week of March 24th and come to find out, she is no longer with the Company. Keep in mind that I have $2,350.00 invested for ZERO services. I finally had to call the office and make an appointment with Walter Limbach, from Corporate.By this point, I was disgusted and disappointed that I had been taken advantage of. I met with Walter on April 11th and he is just the fix it man from corporate. He didn't change anything at all. He shuffled my complaint to Robin Upton, Regional Director in Texas and I got a letter back from her yesterday. She stated that all contracts written under the previous owner, International Career Management, will be services but we hold no financial responsibilities that were made with the previous ownership of which I did business.in other words, she can cancel the remainder of what I owe, but cannot reimburse my $2,350.00.
I feel as though I was taken advantage of. I have had over 15 interviews from my postings to free agencies such as Monster.com and not one opportunity has come from their CS2K website which is the biggest joke to mankind. I just wante my $2,350.00 back.
