I have been called four times total from Alliance One. They want to speak to a Linda. I have told them repeatedly that nobody by this name has or does live here and to not call again. Well, this week, Wednesday March 18 I got call three. I advised the female that no Linda lives here or had lived here and that my husband and I have had this phone number since November 18. I then advised her I am a retired bill collector and I do know the law. I also told her if I get one more call from this company, after they have been informed three times they have the wrong number, I am going to file a complaint. She said she is handing this number to her supervisor to have it pulled. TADA!!! Today, Friday March 20 at 8:28 PM, I get another call wanting to know if Linda is here from the same damn company! I advised the female that this number was to be taken out of their system and repeated everything I told caller number three. I screamed to not call this number ever again! I then filed a complaint with my attorny general and the FCC. As a retired dect collector (first and third party and business to business collections) I know they are in violation of FDCPA. They are not allowed to call a third party but one time trying to locate a debtor. This is in section 808 paragraph 3. I guess they don't read very well. I hope this company gets shut down from what I have read about them. And, I hope the FCC does something about this company. Anyone else have this problem?
