I got my service for directv back in 2006. We then upgraded back in 2007 for a HD receiver. Last year in Oct we moved to a new location. At which time we had a additional receiver added to our house. When the guy came to the house he didn't say anything about us starting a new contract. I called Directv today to cancel my service. They said that we have a early cancellation fee since are contract started when we added the new receiver. They said they had sent out a letter informing us of this but when the lady stating saying my address I realized the installer had put the wrong address. I told the lady and she said that it was are responsibility to know there policy. She then informed me that they will charge my credit card for the fees. I told her that was for a one time processing fee but apparently in fine print according to them they keep them on file to be used as needed.
