Samsung Washer/dryer Debacle I thought I got in under the wire but no such luck. Even though I made the purchase at 5:30AM on the first day of the sale, I have been unable to get the pair

I was there bright and early on 11/28/08, the first day of the Black Friday ad in which the Samsung 999.99 pair appeared. I was in luck since most people were turned off by the blue appliances (that were silver in the ad), and I needed a gas dryer (electric were gone already). Delivery was scheduled for 2/3/09, also OK with me. I wanted a picture and went to the Sears website to print one out using the model numbers on my receipt. Imagine my surprise to find that the washer was white and the dryer blue! The salesman told me blue was all that was available!

After numerous (documented) phone calls I finally receive a call from the store on 12/3 telling me the color problem has been rectified. I get a call in advance of my delivery last week and I verified that both appliances were the same color - nope, but the delivery service said I could use the white washer (on the blue base - by the way) until Sears could change it out for the correct color.

I went home today to await the delivery and get a call telling me the appliances did not arrive in the warehouse (something they did not know at 6PM last night?) and they would deliver the dryer on Thursday but could not get me the washer until 3/17. I called the customer relations department at 877-878-3695 and I have been on hold trying to get a store manager for 15 minutes - so far.

I am waiting for a call from the store general operations manager (who is at lunch at 1:30 CST). Do I dare let them try and get this sorted out or is this an exercise in futility??
