Last month my 82 year old mother received 4 text messages $. 80 and a $9.99 charge from a company called Cylon, LLC (www.cyl0n.com not www.cylon.com) reference #38146 and billed through OpenMarket (div of AMDOCS) which is bogus. It is not OpenMarkets fault, as they, I am sure, are unaware (until know) of the practice.
My mother has enough trouble just dialing phone numbers and does not even know how to text message or how to access the mobile web. I called AT&T Mobility and had the charges removed (although I am still stuck with the taxes for the charges) and now have her phone blocked for all text and internet traffic.
I checked the domain registration of this company and found it is registered to a company in Scottsdale, AZ named Quality Links Online. This is a scam, and I have notified AT&T Mobility fraud department, OpenMarket, and filed a report with the FCC.
So Cylon LLC, Quality Links Online, or whatever you name is... Your days are numbered. Either change your practices or you will be shut down, fined, or a criminal arrest will be forethcoming.
The email address above is for their domain name registration. The phone number only has an answering machine for Quality Links Online and Cylon, LLC has none. Cowards!
