I have been a Notary for over 12 years and a Notary Siging Agent for approximately 5 years. I have never had to call a signing company to retrieve payment for the closings I did for them. However, Sign on the X is another story.
I did three signings for SOX between September and October and to date have not been paid. When I was able to get through to Joanna or Missy I get the run-around with lame excuses such as "your name was misspelled in our computer" or "with the holidays we were so busy and I am behind" even better "I will take care of it today and it will go out in the mail tomorrow". I was understanding and patient but now that I have come across thier business practices - I am not so understanding (of course with first hand proof).
I have sent them numerous e-mails and phone calls with no resolution in getting paid. I am not only filing this Rip off Report with the hope that other Notaries will see it, but I am also filing a claim with the BBB, Secretary of State of California, a Small Claims and the Attorney General for the State of California by the end of business 1/12/09. Because SOX does business throughout the United States I will also look into filing a Federal Complaint.
Do not accept any assignments from this company you will regret it!
