When you are at your most vulnerable, that is when people take the most advantage of you. Please be careful in hiring the Law Offices of Osei Prempeh. One of my husband's acquanitances (who had never needed the services of Mr. Prempeh) advised us of an African lawyer handling immigration cases, this being Osei Prempeh. Being part of the African community my husband immediately trusted him, but from day one I had serious doubts.
I began to do some digging as I noticed Mr. Prempeh was taking money from my husband and not filing paperwork in a timely manner. Upon visiting his office it was a disaster as some other reviewers have mentioned, with no coherent filing system. I was beginning to see why things were processed so slowly. I had other friends that had married immigrants and their cases were being handled quickly with a lot less expense. The next thing I knew the proper paperwork had NOT been filed and my husband was on his way to an immigration detention center. He was ripped out of our home early in the morning by the immigration officers. At that point, like another victim of Osei Prempeh, he became unreachable.
My husband has now been sent back to Africa and I am left alone with debts accumulated from paying Mr. Prempeh. Mr. Prempeh did not know what he was doing. We had to get a new lawyer to sort out the mess. My life has been ruined and my husband has been taken away because of this man. I am having to move because I can no longer afford the place I had with my husband.
Please be careful about hiring the Law Offices of Osei Prempeh. He needs to lose his license so he can't do this to anyone else. Maybe if everyone who has had dealings with him and been burned, reports this liar and theif, we can protect others. When I can get some things together, including a place to live I will make sure that I get the justice needed for what Mr. Prempeh did to my family.
BetheChange - I completely know what you have gone through. Be strong and fight a good fight, because I believe what you are saying being that I experienced it also. Don't let Mr. Prempeh step all over you. Good luck!
