Efusal to take responsibility for defective carpet

A few days after we moved in (Sept 08) we contacted Creative Touch's Customer Service Department regarding some concerns (the carpet was staining extremely excessively, despite our not wearing shoes inside the house, and bleeding if spot cleaned with water. Furthermore, the carpet had a seam going across the living room-we would have expected them to use a full roll at such a visible, small area) we were incurring with our "upgraded" carpeting.

Furthermore, we went with and paid a premium for the "upgraded" carpeting in the livingroom, den and stairs, as suggested by Creative Touch design personnel for it's durability... Yeah right!

Creative Touch sent two gentleman (Field Managers) out to view our concerns. I was advised by these gentleman to clean the carpet myself with our Bissell Machine and, should the stains not come out to contact their office again. We cleaned the carpet as they suggested, however the stains did not come out and you can clearly see the spots where the Bissell Machine was used. Since such time, we have contacted Creative Touch repeatedly. We have spoken to a another representative, who lacked tackfulness and stated the carpet was clean when we moved in. As we told the representative, we are not arguing that the carpet was clean at the time of move-in, however we are commenting on the fact that the carpet is not wearing as it should and the seam is clearly visible.

After such, I called the Creative Touch Customer Service Department early one morning to voice my concerns, however in the middle of our conversation we were disconnected? I tried to reach the representative again, left a message, but she failed to return the call. It will soon be two months and Creative Touch has failed to rectify this problem.

In late November, after sending a complaint to our builder, Creative Touch came out to re-view the carpet. They brought with them a carpet manufacturer representative. This representative took a scrap of the carpet for testing. Approximately three weeks after the time I was told I would receive information regarding the testing of the carpet, I received a phonecall from Creative Touch indicating that there was no problems with the carpet. Ie... They refused to accept any responsibility. They also mentioned that they would send a report indicating such, it is now the beginning of January and no such report has arrived. We have tried to contact the office, however they are closed for an extended holiday. We have sent the builder another complaint letter in hopes that we will at least receive the so called report.

We will be turning Creative Touch into the Better Busines Bureau as well and will researching legal services. We would very much like to join forces with others who have posted a complaint against Creative Touch here and are currently suing Creative Touch Interiors, Temecula, CA.
