Is anyone dealing with Re/Max by The Lake here in North Idaho.
I have been getting calls and letters to my house over the past 4 months or so from attorney requesting i file a statement as i may be a victim of re/max and their agents.
The voice mails are also saying that they are filling a class action law suit against Re/Max by the lake and all of their agents so far they have over 48 past clients who have submitted statements. When i call the law firm back i get a voice mail "I don't get off work until 7pm" but I will get hold of them and see what is going on.
I will likely file a statement for whatever they need as it seems serious, my concern and disappointment is how these people got my contact information, maybe Re/max also has issues keeping their client information private.
According to the letter and phone calls the class action alleges the following of Re/Max by the lake
Over Valuation of listings to secure sellers.
Under Valuation of substantial listings and selling to friends.
Use of scare tactics to such as creating false offers to raise sale price.
Neglect to pass on all offers.
Refusal to reduce commission if seller agrees to price reduction.
Supply of fake documents to enable buyers to secure financing.
False evidence of other homes sold close to a property.
Erect for sale and sold signs without permission of property owner.
The letter also says the following employees will collectively be named in the suit.

It all seems serious to me and I'm upset because I'm now involved in a mess that I don't have time to deal with. Their service was suitable nothing special, I'm just glad it wasn't as bad for me as the other 48 people filling the suit.
