Don't get stung by this Scam, Overbilling, Overcharging, Fraud, John, Scott, Cooling, Air Conditioning and Heating Repair and Installation

I highly advise against using their so-called services. When our air-conditioner went out we called them and scheduled an appointment on a 100-degree day back on June 10th. The operator told us if there was an opening she could get us in that afternoon. When I called later it turned out there was an opening but she ended up writing the wrong number down, so there went that chance.

However we were able to get an appointment the next day after suffering in the heat the rest of the night. When the repairman came he checked the A/C unit and supposedly looked over everything then said it was a blown capacitor. It took him twenty minutes to fix and charged us $203. He told us replacing the capacitor would completely solve the problem.

Sure enough the A/C unit went down again two weeks later. This time the repairman came out and said the compressor froze and charged us $122 for this opinion after 10 minutes of inspection. All of a sudden the blame was placed on surrounding bushes and high pressure in the compressor. We were advised it couldn't be fixed and that we needed to buy a new overpriced unit from them with a $4,000 installation fee.

It was time for other opinions so we had 5 different companies come out that ranged from small ones to Sears, to take a look at the bushes. The general consensus was that they were far enough away to not affect the airflow.in fact Beehive didn't even mention the bushes until their second visit. Why weren't they caught on the first visit?

Well it turns out that we had been scammed. Beehive didn't put in a direct size replacement for our capacitor; instead a smaller one was installed. The factory size capacitor was 440 volts but Beehive put in a 370 volt one. This made the compressor freeze.

After speaking to service professionals they all agreed Beehive should've noticed the high pressure in the compressor the first time as well.

In the end, once we had the capacitor replaced by one of the honest companies who even put a 1-year warranty on their service, our A/C worked fine for the rest of the summer and continues to do so.

I can only recommend to other customers that they steer clear of this business as they'll overcharge you for parts, labor, all the way to the gas it takes them to drive there. Get a second recommendation after theirs and you'll see what I mean. Not only will it save you money but it'll save you peace of mind in avoiding any unnecessary repairs.

This business is unprofessional, shady, doesn't have a clue as to what they're doing, and I can't say stay away from them enough. This is one time high pricing doesn't equate to better quality as it's just money down the drain and you'll end up using someone else regardless. So do it right and go to a reputable company the first time!!!
