On 11/12/08, I took same 22.61 square foot cotton rug in to be cleaned as had been cleaned 4 years ago for $30.00 at this same place. Order # M-140133. On 11/20/08 I was charged $104.00 at pick up this time!
Shocked, I put it on my charge card because I did not have that much money. The next morning I called to ask details. I was told the owner was out, but he would return my call. I left my cell number. He did not call.
Later on the afternoon of 11/21/7008, I went to the cleaners personally to ask why, but was told he was not in, but would be in to close that night. So again that night I went back and was treated extremely rudely and told "inflation". When I tried to get a better response, (like how much per sq. Ft., what special process was used, if any, etc.) he told me to "leave the store". He would not tell me his name or give me a card. When I did not leave immediately, still trying to gather information, he had one of his staff call 911. I left then because I did not want to bother police with a consumer issue! He would not even try to resolve it!
I want a refund or a more appropriate price. Cleaning is like auto repair to me. If you take your car in for an oil change, and the mechanic sees that major repairs are due, he will call you. Not just do them and charge you an "inflated" price at pick-up!
