I had a very bad experience with Merry Maids this past Monday in the Washington, DC area. Basically, the cleaners showed up 1.5 hours later. No one called me, I had to call the coordinator 3 times. That's after scheduling the job well in advance and stressing the importance of the timely clean. This is out rental unit and we had people moving in. It had been cleaned before and I needed Merry Maids to clean the blinds in a one bedroom apartment and door frames and wipe on top of the fridge. They barely touched anything. I stayed with them 10 mins and had to leave because they were late. I suspect they left as soon as I left. Nothing, NOTHING was cleaned. I was charged $125.00.
Local rep was rude to me and did not even apologize 10 mins into the conversation trying to tell me that it was my fault I did not stay there. And I tipped those girls. Because I trusted MM's company's name.
I could not have MM return because of the timely constraint and ended up cleaning myself. I want a full refund and will continue with negative reviews unless I hear back from anyone. I will also be reporting local MM to the Better Business Bureau and will use social media to review MM here. I had never been this cheated!!! Dirty dirty cleaners - cheating people like this - you are such scumbugs. I never wrote a review until this awful experience
