The audacity of improperly trained employees or lack of caring thereof for exhibiting good quality customer service was demonstrated to me at the Family Dollar Store located in Powhatan, Virginia. I have never been so humiliated and belittled in the many years that I have faithfully shopped at various Family Dollar Stores. My complaint is over a 2 or 3 dollar variance in price of a pink fuzzy pair of slippers. The lower priced pair [was so identical in look and feel - it was difficult to actually tell] was strategically placed among the 'regular priced' ones that were actually in my size.instead of the employee working something out with me, she actually challenged me and debated with me and acted so furious toward me that I was in the wrong and she was in the right that sorry to say I shall vow never to step foot into that Family Dollar Store again. There were two sales associates and one was possibly an acting manager or assistant manager. Whatever the case may be she acted horribly and so did the other employee. Is this an incentive for me to go back?! I highly doubt it! They need to review the video of Farrells Ice Cream Icon and see how 'true customer service' should be handled or Family Dollar will always be considered lower in the chain of department stores!
