I have been receiving bills from Nursing 2008 magazine, published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. I never subscribed to the magazine. I suspect they got my name and address either from my registration at a nursing professional conference I attended this year or from the RN licensure database, which is available from the state where I am licensed. The bills never contained a phone number to call — just a demand for payment. Then today I got a notice from a collection agency! This Nursing 2008 is supposedly a professional publication and I am shocked that they conduct business in this manner. It is unbelievable that they are going to this length to try to get $24.90 from me when I never even requested their magazine. Nurses, please don't send them money if you didn't request the magazine.
