I just re-signed up for direct TV on October 14th. I was advised that when I sign up I could get my area locals. So the tec came out and advised me that this is not a problem. He advised me the box needed to download a new update and it could take 1-2 days.
October 17th I contacted Direct TV and advised them that I wasnt getting them and that I wanted to cancel my service. I was told that my locals were out of the Los Angeles area and that I could not get my area locals. So I advised them I wanted to cancel my service and I was told that I am in a commentment for my service and Id have to pay several hundred dollars to cancel.
This was a misleading sales tactic and I would like to be contacted about this issue. Id also would like to cancel my service with no fees. I was mislead and lied to by your company.
