I contacted John Webster approximately two months ago in regards to getting my boyfriend transferred to a camp rather than the medium security prison he was designated to go to. John had me fax over presentencing investigations along with judgements and copies of motions. I explained to him we had payed over $100,000.00 to lawyers that claimed to be the best at time reduction and prison transfers. He told me to stop wasting my money and that I made the right call getting in contact with him and that he would be the only to help the matter. John promised me that it would take about four days and we would have an anwser from the bureau of prisons as to where he was going to. Now in order for him to start any of this he would need $1500.00 for the transfer. I asked if this was just a retainer and he told me that the work he had to do would cost that much and thats all he wanted. John said that as soon as i payed him he would send me copies of all the paperwork he would have and he would also send copies to my boyfriend in prison. I explained to John that I was almost of money and that Im raising my boyfriends two daughters that she left behind when she died which was the day of his sentencing four years ago. John assured me he would have him transferred in no time and faxed me a contract. Now up until the day I recieved the contract we spoke almost every day maybe even twice a day. I went ahead and signed the contract and payed him and from that day on he has not called me once. I called him every day up to fifteen times a day and even emailed him and he only anwsered my calls twice till today. The first time he told me that hes sorry that things did not work the way i thought they would and asked me if I filed a rip off report because in one of the messages i left him i told him that I was going to. I told john that I didnt file a report yet and he told me that he was going to go through all the work that he had done on the case and would be issuing me a refund for the rest. I called him a couple days later which was ona tuesday two weeks ago and he told me that a check was the mail for $750.00 and that if i wanted to he would still continue to work on the case for free. He gave me a speach about how his company is very reputable and that all they want to do is help people.in all honesty I really trusted John and he really seemed like a helping and intellegent individual. His business seemed very reputable. I have called him over fifty to sixty times and left him over fifteen to twenty messages and emails and i still have no response from him. Ive left him my address on the messages and email thinking that maybe the check got lost or maybe it was sent to the wrong address and he has not responded to the emails or phone calls. I know $1500.00 isnt alot to many people but when youre only thirtyone years old and go to school part time and work full time and are raising two children on your own with health problem and psychological problems that money means alot. I dont have money to throw away and thats exactly what he promised me. That I wouldnt be throwing it away. All I want is what he offered and promised to pay me back. I didnt even ask for the refund, he offered it and i thanked him over and over. For over a week now I have been running to my mailbox with the hope that I will find a check there but so far no luck. I guess I can only hope that hes been really busy getting our loved ones the help we hire him for and that this week I have a check and phone call from him. Im not the type of person to bad mouth anyone and like I said I really trusted him and had faith in this man. I really hopes he proves to be a man of his word...
