Complaint / Review
SAI Alarm - Security Associates International, Inc
Absolutely no customer service

Copy of a certified letter I sent to SAI alarm:

This letter is to inform you of your failure to provide me with continuous alarm service.

I signed a contract, Acct No. XXXXXX, Monitored phone 206XXXXXXX, enclosure 1, with Firstline on July 21 for alarm service to my residence at XXXX S XXXth Pl, Seattle, Washington. This agreement came with a Relocation Benefit, enclosure 2.

On May 16 my residence changed from Seattle, Washington to Clarkston, Washington. Starting in May, numerous attempts were made to contact Firstline for the Relocation Benefit. The telephone number provided to me was answered by an automated answering machine saying
"All of our operators are busy please leave a message and we will get back to you". I left many messages with no returned calls. This continued into June. Several attempts to contact Firstline continued through out July and August.in August the phone was answered by a person instead of a machine, I explained my problem and was transferred to Firstline after spending fifteen minutes on hold I hung up the phone.

Since I was now living in Clarkston, Washington and was being charged for an alarm service in Seattle, Washington, I stopped payment on the automatic billing of my Discover Card. The Discover Card company notified you of the disputed charge and gave you one month to respond. You failed to respond.

On September 11 Discover Card informed me that they were not able to stop the recurring charges to my account from your company. As a result I canceled my Discover Card account that I have had since 1992. I then again called the Firstline telephone number provided to me. This time I was directed to a different number, SAI alarm at 800-705-7681. I talked to the SAI operator who wanted to transfer the alarm service to my current address. I refused the transfer of the alarm system because of your inability
to provide customer service in a timely manner.

The intent of the "Alarm System Purchase and Monitoring Agreement" was violated by your company for the
following reasons:

1) Failure to provide continuous alarm service
2) Failure to respond to my voice messages
3) Failure to respond to Discover Card disputed charge request
4) Failure to provide the advertised customer service, enc. 2, in a timely manner
5) Failure to inform me of the SAI take over of the contract from Firstline

The above reasons should be more than enough to void the "Alarm System Purchase and Monitoring Agreement".
