Great Expectations
Deceptive and unauthorized credit card usage

As is typical with other stories, the salesperson uses high pressure tactics to get you to sign immediately. I wanted to return later to ponder the matter, but then they became abusive, and even yelled "bullshit" and other epithets to my valid points I had made as to why I needed to think this over (the service IS over 5,000). Then she walked out to "dicuss with her boss", and then lowered the price by 500 increments, again to get me to sign off then and there.

Later, I decided to attend one of their get togethers in downtown Dallas, (in front of the Modern Art museum). Well no one showed up (I was plenty early). I phoned the head office to see what was the matter. They assured me that the group coordinator for that evening was there, but they told me her cell phone was off, and so I was stuck there in front of the museum not knowing what to do next. I had previously given them my credit card which they said "kept my place" for such events, but that it would only be charged for a "no show". So I phoned them a second time angrily since they never could locate the group for me, so they said (reluctantly) that they would waive the amount this time, but future events were another matter. I immediately smelt a fish. The "kids" on the phone acted unprofessionally, and even had to check amongst themselves where the actually meeting place was to take place (even though it was plainly described in the email I received advertising this event.

Because of my busy schedule, I postponed my initial photoshoot for several weeks, but then found out on my credit card statement that they were charging me $20 monthly for use of their internet site to peruse profiles online, even though this was to occur only AFTER I had my own photoshoot down and profile listed, so I never was able to use their online service! So now I found out that the still held on to my cc number, and were charging me for a service that was unavailable to them. I phoned them again to waive this. They reluctanly waived a single fee. Now that I read from other complaints that the photoshoot is extra (NOT mentioned in the contract), I decided I had enough! I paid off my cc and got new one since they started again to charge me for this "service" which I had not been able to use.

I am more than willing to work with others who were victimized by this scam. I will be contacting a consumer fraud attorney, and go to any media outlet I can to get my money back.

Also indicative of their deceitful practices, I've noticed small signs that they have put around the north Dallas area such as "McKinneysingles.com", "Friscosingles.com", etc as a means of hiding their real name and to get people in their door and pressure you to join. They will use all kinds of tactics such as these and pricing schemes during your "interview" with them to get you to take your credit card from you. Of course, they will never offer a refund. No matter how shabby they treat you, the bottom line with them is that they now have your MONEY!
