I paid the initial $250 deposit with Holiday Management Group for the Orlando Vacation Package for $398.56 and was sent a "Reconfirmation Package" that was to be sent at least 45 days prior to reservations with the balance due. Last night, July 6, I decided to look for the website: www.hmg.org (or.com) which I had originally visited in order to inquire about the package before purchasing, but this time, it was nowhere to be found. I therefore decided to use the search engine and found the "complaint" with the usacomplaints.com.Com by Carolyn in Acworth, Georgia.
This concerned me so I phoned Holiday Management Group today and spoke with Doug. When I mentioned not being able to find the website, he refused to address the issue. When I requested a refund, he informed me that I needed to send the confirmation package that was sent to me and the credit card bill will be cancelled in 3-6 weeks. When I asked how can I be assured that this will be done and that I had read about a consumer complaints in which the person was not credited after the time promised and he hung up on me.
I have notified my credit card company to file a dispute because I do not want to wait until it will be too late for my credit card company to act. I also do not want to take a chance that the company is legitimate and be left in Florida in November without $400 and no place to stay and no Disney Tickets, especially after being treated very unprofessionally.
