Recently Divorced, I responded to an internet posting from Great Expectations. A few days passed and the company invited me to come to their North Dallas Office to speak with one of their counselors. The counselor... A high pressure sales woman (My first alarm was her name tag. It only had her first name on it) spoke to me about how great the service was and that they had thousands of women available in Metroplex area... I doubt it. Anyway, one event led to another and I filled out an application " Do you mind if we run your credit as part of our background check?". After my counselor ran my credit she returned with their contract. She offered me their Premium Membership ($5000.00), " we are going to give you a discount. You are in high demand... We don't have many attractive African American Male members". With their discount the membership was approximate $3000.00 (God only knows why I signed the contract). At any rate I went to their office Saturday evening, after much thought i decided to attempt to cancel my contract on early Monday.
My counselors response was "Sorry you signed the contract"
Attorney Generals in other States have sued this Company.
