DO NOT trust Lastminute travel.com to book a room for you! It may appear you have a reservation—but read the small print. LastNinuteTravel.com is a useless untrustworthy service. LastMinuteTravel.com is dishonest, its employess will lie to you without a thought, and leave you high and dry without a hotel room.
Let me tell you about my Experience: I bid on a room, (any room in the metro area, for a particular price.) My bid was accepted and the hotel was assinged by the website. But then, when I printed my reservation I saw that it was not confirmed. I called to ask why it wasn't confirmed and I was told all was well, just call back the next day.
I called back when I was told, and then again an hour later, and an hour later&all the time on the road heading to my destination. I got answers like, "... Just have to contact the hotel" or "just have to check our fax machine" or "the reservation person at hotel doesn't come in until 11:00—just check my email in about an hour..." or "Please call back again later..."
After making multiple calls, I was asked why I was calling agian, since I had just called an hour before? One of the nasty comments made to me, more than once, was that I had only booked last night, what did I expect? Hello??..? The name of the site is "Last Minute Travel!"
I kept getting the run around until I was finally told that the room wasn't available at my bid price, but I could get the room at a "better than market price", an amount $40 higher than my bid and $10 less than there listed price! And they thought I should Thank them for offerring me such a great deal???!!
If I had been told up front that my bid was too low, or that they couldn't deliver, I would have had other options.instead they strung me along, acting like it was mere paperwork snafu, and all would be well.
Why not tell a person up front that LastMinuteTravel CANNOT deliver? Other bidd sights do. I have never had problems with PriceLine. PriceLine tells you when you need to bid $ higher to get a room.
Thanks to WORTHLESS services of LastMinuteTravel.com I found myself on the road, in a new city, with a baby and NO ROOMTHANKS FOR NOTHING LastMinuteTravel.com! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again!
Don't trust them, don't ever leave business with them to the "last minute" because you will spend at least 24 hours being lied to and led down the garden path, just to be mistreated and left on your own.
